Transfer madness is really a first of its kind endeavor here in the state.
It is an online transfer fair that is going to be open to students across the state. I think there's nearly 1,000 students at this point who have signed up
We're having transfer madness in conjunction with a transfer fair here at JCTC today along with an instant admit day
where students can come in with their transcripts and necessary fees and be admitted potentially on the spot.
The fellowship program helped me a lot so knowing what classes to take, what classes not to take, which ones will transfer
which ones won't. It was a good experience actually
Students who might not have ever considered a 4 year degree, a bachelor's degree, or may have had that apprehension
that wouldn't allow them to set foot on a four year campus, we bring that to them, or that's what our effort is here.
The states done a lot of work to streamline the transfer process so that an associate of arts, or an associates of science
plugs in really as their first two years of course work so it gives them an idea of where they stand, how much longer they may
need to stay in course work, where their GPA is at this point and where it needs to be to be admissible to the university.
The classes here were a great opportunity for me to further my education and get to UofL
With the transferring and everybody helping me, you know, telling me what classes I need to take and what my GPA has to be
what my requirements are, how to get into my major and everything like that, without that I would've been lost, I would've been doing it on my own
