Hello guys! I am Andrew and this is a weekly issue of Common Mistakes from EnglishDom.
In this videolesson we will talk about the wrong use of some tenses. The first common
mistake is using the Present Continuous Tense when we talk about a habitual action (регулярном
действии), instead of the Present Simple Tense. For example, don't say: "Every
morning I'm going for a walk". We should Say: "Every morning I go for a walk". Always use
the Present Simple Tense to express a present habitual action. The second mistake we are
going to discuss is the wrong sequence of tenses (неправильное согласование
времен). Don't say: "He asked me what I am doing". We should Say: "He asked me what
I was doing". The third mistake is using the future tense
after if instead of the present tense. For example, don't say: "If he will ask me, I
will stay". Say: "If he asks me, I will stay". Never use WILL after IF in this case. Thank
you for watching this video! See you soon!
