Lake Land College was the stepping stone for my career
in giving me the experience, the knowledge and the know how
to go out and find my first job.
Lake Land College is my college.
I have fond memories of attending Lake Land College.
I graduated in 1985 and I shudder to think of the people that would be watching this video,
some of them weren’t even born at that time.
I attended the dental hygiene program and had an excellent experience.
The instructors were very focused on our growth and preparing us,
not only to take our board exam,
but also to prepare us for the real world.
There was never a time that I didn’t feel
that I couldn’t go to one of my instructors and I think that's one of the benefits of a smaller school,
is that one on one attention.
I really look back fondly at those times.
I learned a lot of good things and Lake Land College is my college.
Lake Land College is our college.

My name is Dr. John Killough.
I’m a 1991 graduate of Lake Land College.
I’m proud to call Lake Land College my first college that I went to.
It made a wonderful building block for medical school
and for a career that I have undertaken.
Lake Land College is my college.
When I came to Lake Land College, I always had a career and ambition of getting into law enforcement.
I chose that career, I haven’t looked back. It is the greatest job in the world
and if it wasn’t for Lake Land College and the instructors and everything here to teach me the walk of life,
who knows where I would have ended up.
I'm so blessed to have Lake Land on my resume
and to graduate from Lake Land.
Lake Land College is my college.
Once upon a time, I was spinning records
and learning how to lower my high pitched voice
in the old studios in the basement of the library there on campus.
Fast forward a couple of decades, or so,
and I'm living a dream.
A veteran cable news sports anchor
who gets to put on my correspondent hat and travel the world.
From Aaron and Ali, to Phelps and Patino, to Wade and Woods,
I’ve sat down next to and across from many of the greats,
asking good questions and some bad,
enjoying a trip through sports history from a very unique perspective.
And it all began here.
I’m Larry Smith and Lake Land College is my college.
Lake Land College is my college.
Lake Land College is my college.
I attended Lake Land College coming out of a small, rural community - Strasburg, Illinois -
and just found it very comfortable to come to Lake Land, back in the 1970s.
I think after I left Lake Land College and went on to the business world,
I finally realized the foundation that Lake Land had to my education
and what it meant to my future.
Lake Land College is my college.
Lake Land College is my college.
Lake Land College was a great place for me to begin my academic career.
It was small, yet friendly enough.
The professors, the faculty, all of the teachers really helped me to learn about myself
and to learn about what I truly wanted to do in life.
I am grateful to have had the opportunity to be a member of the livestock judging team
and to participate and learn so much from Curt Rincker.
