The co-location of Waitemata District Health Board services
to Waipareira's Whanau Centre
shows how government and non-government agencies
can work together to do what's best for the community.
That was officially celebrated today
as part of Waipareira's week-long lead up
to the launch of its 25-year strategic plan.
Waipareira's new Whanau Centre
has been opened for almost three years,
and today it strengthened its networks.
It's about renewing relationships
with the district health boards,
Waitemata and Auckland.
In order for us to help
those of our people
who aren't well,
our health services
need to work closely with Waipareira.
There are doctors,
a pharmacy and a dentist all under the one roof —
a dream of Waipareira's since it began.
Our motto is, 'Progressively act in unity'.
This meeting is part and parcel
of Waipareira's 25-year strategic plan for the future.
There's also other things planned for this week.
On Wednesday we are meeting with Microsoft
to confirm details of a partnership between us.
They say it's for the next 25 years, but we mustn't forget beyond that.
Friday is when they officially launch their strategic plan.
Anzac Pikia, Te Karere.
