improvements hello and welcome
in this video session I'm going to
share with you insights I believe not many people can
share with you once you log into your Google Webmaster Tools account
the left hand-side 2014
new interface for HTML
improvements option is located left hand-side
under search appearance you simply press on
HTML improvements and as you can see here Google Webmaster
tools makes content
publishing and Google ranking rather
easy for you by suggesting
important elements that Google looks for and
that's what I have been sharing
throughout my YouTube videos as to
you know meta descriptions are important your
title tags are important so therefore
HTML improvements that Google
suggests allow you to quickly see
if your website's on page SEO elements are in place as we can see here
I actually have some issues that Google
has picked up you may think
well you say that you're an SEO
specialist yet you have all these place now in place properly so to speak
well I'll show you why that is as well I
recently updated my entire website and therefore
these things that it suggests to me has already been improved
but this
duplicate Meta title tag there's one that I have
analyzed this particular duplicate title tag I've
actually missed it was an honest mistake right so therefore look how
easy it is for you to utilize
this great tool all these options are
important for you to analyze for your website and its
standing for Google rankings
but html improvements it is one of those gems
and let's have a look at this and let me quickly open up Dreamweaver
this is the site it was showing me okay I
came back double-checked
this is all wrong meaning I have two different pages with same title and so on
so let me Control+A
delete everything simply paste
the corrected version and all is done and
if I didn't have Google Webmaster Tools I would've
actually overlook although I have
double checked and double-checked everything before I uploaded everything
so let me share with you
insights that is of usefulness to you now
I will tell you how these will be triggered
so you can you when you search engine
optimize your web pages have them in place properly
so that it is fully optimized for Google
ranking duplicate Meta description means that
two different URL's that you have on your website
has the same meta description so therefore
each web page must be optimized individual and
uniquely right it has to be original whether it's
page name surely you can't have two different pages
with the same name but then you can
overlook Meta descriptions as you've seen
before so therefore duplicate
meta description is just no go that has to be
remedied ASAP when you see this
warning long Meta
description how will that be triggered well
Google search results will show up search snippets
usually coming from your meta description if you keep your meta
description within
150 characters you will be okay
so meaning when you create your meta description
keep 'em around 150 155 160
max for Google rankings we're talking about you should
simply forget about Bing and Yahoo and all the rest and
simply focus on Google rankings because
some people suggest that you should optimize for Google and
apparently you optimize for
Bing and so on forget about optimizing for Bing and so on
just optimize for Google cause that's the best
algorithm as far as relevance is concerned and
people use that 80 percent
people use Google so therefore your aim is Google rankings
and that's what I teach you on my YouTube channel how to
easily do all that stuff right long Meta
description will be triggered if you're meta description is past
160 characters short meta
description then obviously will be
not less but perhaps
100 characters or perhaps 50 characters
few words describing your page that's not good enough okay
it isn't good enough and Google will actually tell you that it isn't okay so
meta description keep 'em unique make 'em
around 150 characters you can use
Microsoft Word go under review word count
and then keep it at that you don't have to perhaps go in to
that depth just keep reasonably
not short and not long keep 'em around 150 characters cause
that gives you the best possible chance for google
to show your meta description in search results
also you can utilize your meta description
in such way that you increase your
click-through rates if you utilize it properly
instead of Google showing automatic snippets
it will actually show your meta description so therefore
as you can see little things like this makes a huge difference
for everything that you do online okay
next part is title tags missing title tags
well should not you wouldn't buy a book
without a name so to speak right
you wouldn't find chapters within a book with no name
so therefore when you think of title tags think
like that for your web pages
your web pages must have titles
and all each page must have unique titles
now as far as
how long will the title tags be now this question I see it all the time online okay
we're talking about Google here okay
so therefore for your title tags
you keep your title tags for desktop
devices cause mobile is different a little
okay
you keep 'em around sixty to 64 characters
long space like make them maximum 64
characters if you keep 'em around 60
that's best for you or else google is smart
it picks things from your web page and it
shows that in title as well so therefore if you
keep 'em within around very close to 60
characters then you will be okay and it won't
trigger this improvements suggestion and surely short title tags will then be
you know title tags that are 1 2 words and so on okay perhaps 20 characters and
so on okay
so keep 'em around sixty characters long
and you will be okay now
non-informative title tags they are things like
you know you just have one word trying to describe
an entire page for example it will be services
let's say I have a I have SEO Services page for example and
my title is services well Google
what how is it gonna know what service
that is right although you can tie
everything on your page to really let Google
understand if you don't do things properly
then it's gonna struggle and your effort is to
make Google understand your web pages
as best that it can so therefore all these things become very important
Non-indexable content well
we shouldn't really worry about that because your web pages
must be indexed so now
you know how to do all these things properly
now because that's the case
let me show you how I went about doing things
so let's say the title of a
web page as you can see I been is this game for a long time now and I know
what gets clicked more
than other things and I know
when I see someone who is pretending to know search engine optimization
when I look at their website and their web pages
I see it straight away that they are living in
stone age so to speak okay you see
when you create everything as I share with you
you will not only rank you will also see
much better results because just take a look at the
difference here all these people are offering SEO
services and some of 'em this particular one okay
I actually like this one because it catches the eye
it has a better chance of getting a
click-through rather than these people here as you can see they're
confusing everything search engine optimization pipe as if that's gonna help
anyone
affordable services at something or how about
this one here affordable SEO packages pipe
low-cost SEO services pipe *** Dave pipe
OK that's not smart what they're doing is
they're spamming their title your title tags your
meta description is not a place for you for you
to keyword spam so if you read about information as to
ohh keywords important in a title therefore
put a lot of keyword in there well that's not SEO okay and with mentality
like that I won't get anywhere you won't get
anywhere so disregard that information and
only focus on the information that I am sharing with you
meaning test it for yourself and see what happens you know having
all the keywords is not gonna help someone be in the first position
as you can see they have keyword spammed their title tags
yet I am out ranking them and also look at the title how
it's communicating what I'm offering you see
that's gonna get better click-through rates you know its gonna actually get
better click
through rates then these people advertising right because that's what people
do when they come here they
quickly scan what's going on you know their eyes move everywhere
and if something Tick catches their eye they then stop and then click and
that's what you want
you don't just wanna be here you want people come to your website
also look at the description see
within 150 160 characters space
instead of Google automatically showing things here it's
showing my meta description so therefore
when you learn the information that I
share with you and when you implement it not only you will see
higher Google ranking results
you will also see your online business grow more and more and
