-Derek is having a tough time.
He is trying to figure out how he's
going to deal with this lawsuit.
I have to pay my lawyer, Aaron, OK?
She's been calling me, and I haven't
been returning her phone calls.
-You might want to rethink that strategy.
-He just moved to San Francisco.
He doesn't have a lot of money.
-Dropping you as a client and then suing you
for all the money that you owe me.
-Josie--
He's starting to wonder if he's made the right decision.
And he's trying to live a life and trying
to deal with this lawsuit and trying to grow this business.
And in all of that, he's getting kind of fed up with the way
that Aaron and Jack are running the show.
So he resorts to some fairly desperate measures
in terms of how he's going to get some money back
and ends up hurting a lot of people.
It's really exciting to play more of a dramatic bent
to Derek.
There are definitely elements of humor,
but he has some real serious moments with Aaron.
And that's another thing that Yuri and Vlad
are exploring this season is Derek's and Aaron's
relationship as brothers.
And how is it to work with your brother,
and can you separate that whole family business?
And Aaron and Derek's issues from however
long ago really start to manifest.
-You know, statistically speaking, older brothers
are supposed to be the responsible ones.
And I get stuck with you.
-Thanks for the talk.
It's really, really cool to play that more realistic
brotherly relationship.
So that's exciting.
