Tell me about housing!
Housing at CSUMB. We house more than 60%
of the students. We have 3 different types.
We have freshmen housing, that's in the
residence halls. We have north quad housing
for transfers and upper division students.
We have east campus housing for non-traditional
and upper division students.
lower division is your traditional dorms, but
we call them residential communities because
you are living in a community and not just a dorm,
and they are two people, three people, or four
people to a room, and you each have your own
private bathroom, so it's not on the floor, it's
in the individual rooms.
They're much bigger than traditional housing in
other schools. We offer the beds, which are twin
XLs, desks, and dressers or wardrobes depending
on if you have a closet or not.
North Quad Housing is apartment or suite style
housing. It's either six people to a suite or
two people to a suite. The Strawberry Apartments
is four people to an apartment or two people to
an apartment.
So what does an apartment have?
The apartments have everything a regular off-campus
apartment has. It has a dishwasher, a stove,
a refridgerator, a sink, and it has two bathrooms,
and four single rooms.
Easy Campus is only 3 miles off of the main campus.
Shuttles go back and forth every 15 minutes. Even if
you don't have a car it's still easily accessible.
These are apartment style so they have two bedrooms,
a living room, a family room, a utility room, and
a garage and either a balcony or a backyard.
