Now I'm going to demonstrate a wood chop sit-up using an 8-lb. dumbbell. Okay. So what I'm
going to do is I'm going to lie on the floor. Notice I have an overhand, underhand grip.
My feet are 45 degrees flat on the floor. I'm going to start in a diagonal with my arms
straight. And as I come up I'm going to slice to the opposite side. Okay, let me demonstrate
that again. Arms straight, slice explosively to the left side. Okay, so if you're doing
that side with your arms, you're going to switch your grip. So it's the opposite hand
on top, arms are still straight and then you're going to slice to the right side. Okay. Do
about 15 each side. Keep the feet flat on the floor. Exhale as you come up. And remember,
it's a wood chop. So, act like you're hammering down something or using an axe, makes it fun.
Okay. The whole time you're working your upper and your obliques. So upper abdominals and
your side abdominals, very good exercise to hit both. And that's how you do a wood chop
sit-up using a dumbbell.
