A question we're often asked
is how to keep the voice healthy over time.
We stress a holistic approach.
Your voice lives in the context of the rest of your body,
so how all your other systems are functioning,
how well-rested you are, how hydrated you are,
how much attention you spend warming up and rehearsing
and just being careful with your routines,
those things are all essential to staying healthy vocally.
And also, as you age, things change.
When you're 20 years old, if you want to run five miles,
you just get out and run, you don't stretch before.
When you're 40 years old, you're gonna stretch before,
and if you haven't run those five miles,
you're gonna be really sore afterwards,
you're not gonna do as well.
So, you need to stay in shape,
you need to have your voice in performing shape.
Everybody's body is different.
Some people can't tolerate dairy, they get lots of mucus.
Some people could have as much cheese as they want,
and they have no problem whatsoever.
Others need to be hydrated or have allergies.
So, if you want to learn more about ways
to keep yourself healthy, look around the website
