Hi, I'm Laura from PeterGlenn.com and I'm gonna show you Spyder's base layer
technology. This is DryWeb and is their proprietary base layer
and this it is a functional breathable layer that also insulated so that you
can stay nice and warm when you're out there skiing or snowboarding.
This synthetic fabric made from polyester and ... if you are familiar
with the concept of technical layers you know that obviously cotton as the
absolute worst thing out there
... so synthetics like this it's going to breathe a lot better which is going to
prevent moisture from building up underneath. And if moisture buildups
underneath that's what really makes a cold because then
i'm when you stop moving its kinda freeze up against you and it's gonna feel very
cold.
So, what the DryWeb does is it takes any little tiny bit of moisture that builds
up underneath it and it wicks it away from your skin. It's made with two
layer
constructions. So the polyester yarns on the inside move the moisture to the
polyester yarns on the outside where it can dry and be released with
evaporation.
... Dry when this very stretchy and most DryWeb pieces don't fit super tight
as you can see in this man's piece here they have kind of a relaxed fit
but it is stretchy so if you get a piece of close fitting you'll be very
comfortable moving no restriction or anything like that.
DryWeb is also made for the kids and it's a great base player for kids
because it dries so quickly kids always figure out how to get snow down inside
someplace
... and also it has a big Spyder logo on it so kids love to wear it. Overall
this is going to keep you warm
and pretty much any day that you're riding out there uh... You'll do a base
layer and then a mid layer and then your jacket and you'll be nice and warm ... and
because it is synthetic it's a great alternative for people that are allergic
to wool.
Thanks for watching and check out PeterGlenn.com for all of your favorite
Spyder ski wear!
