Hi everyone and welcome to Nail Art Vogue or NAV for short. My name is Ally.
Today I'm going to show you how to get this really cute white and red chevron look. It's
one of my favourites. So if you want nails like this, keep watching and I'm going to
show you how. I'm just going to tell you quickly what you're
going to need. Some nail polish remover and cotton buds, a base coat, a top coat,
some red nail polish, some white nail polish, a rubber stamper,
and the Bundle Monster 2012 BM 201 plate, a plate scraper or a credit card and just something to clean your nails
up with, either a nail corrector pen or cotton buds dipped in polish remover.
Okay let's get started. So I'm putting on a base coat, this is Relvon's Quick Dry Base
Coat. I'm just putting this on to protect my nails and also to prevent any staining.
The next step is to apply red nail polish. If you don't like red you can substitute this
for another colour. I'm using Mavala La Paz, it's kind of a pinky red. A lot of people
like to put a top coat on after this, just so that when you're stamping if you make a
mistake it's much easier to fix without having to redo your nails. You're probably going
to want to wait about 30 minutes, just to make sure your nails are really dry. Otherwise
you can just wait overnight. Now onto stamping. I'm using a Bundle Monster
2012 plate, this is BM-201 and I'm just using that zig zaggy pattern right there. I'm also
going to use LA Colour Nail Art Lacquer in white. This is my stamper I got it from eBay
and I'm just going to use a credit card because I don't actually like the scrapers.
I'm just going to take the LA Nail Art Lacquer in white and paint it over the image. Just going
to make sure that I don't miss any parts of the image. I also like to have quite a thick
covering just to make sure it really gets into the etched parts, and you don't miss
any part of the design. So next I'm just going to take my scraper
and I'm going to be quite firm and scrap it across. Next you're going to want to take
your stamper and just roll it across that image. You can see that it's come out quite
well onto the stamp. And now I'm just going to do that same kind of rolling motion across my nail
to transfer it across.
You'll notice I'm cleaning the plate, and also my stamper and my scraper. This is just to make sure that you get a really nice clean
and crisp image and no smudging. So you're probably going to want to do this every couple of stamps.
So now I'm just going to clean up my nails.
I'm using an Artistry Nail Colour Corrector Pen. You can of course just use cotton buds
dipped in nail polish remover, that'll work just fine. I'm just using this because I have
it on hand, so I might as well.
Okay, so the final step is to put a top coat on to protect our designs. So I'm using a Relvon Colorstay Top Coat. When you're doing
this you're not going to want to paint too many times over the design, because otherwise
you're just going to smudge it. So try and keep it to a minimum of one of two strokes
over your nail to prevent smudging. So here's the finished look. I hope you all
liked this video. Let me know what you think about the design. You can leave me any questions
