Hey, I'm Julia and I'm studying Social Science at the University of Southern Queensland
in Toowoomba, and this is my first year. I did a lot of travelling throughout my schooling,
I went to 7 different schools in 12 years of schooling.
The problem was my OP couldn't be that good because I hadn't had all of the same classes...
and my classes kept on switching...and I kept on getting different teachers and different
friends. It was just mind blowing.
So that's how I came into needing to do a course to get into uni.
I had a wonderful guidance counsellor, her name was Mrs Palmer. She helped me go through
all of the processes, because I knew I couldn't go to uni as I didn't have a good OP.
She helped me through it, and she told me about TPP intensive. Now that I'm in my
first year of uni I have realised that what I've been learning is pretty amazing.
I learnt how to do all of the referencing, I learnt where the library was, and I learnt
where the computer lab was. It just really helped me come into my first
year, I felt like I had a little bit of an advantage actually.
The good news is that I got to start uni with all of my friends from high-school.
They all came in the same year at the same time, and because I did this over the summer
holidays there was no time lost. So I just jumped right in with them and there
was no time lost. My experience is that if you do want to go
to uni and you didn't get the right OP or didn't get the right grades, then you still
get a chance to get into uni -- which is really amazing. So just try this course out
and see where it goes!
