So what do we do after we get the rebound? We've secured it, we have the ball. Well,
most teams have designated players -- guards -- who are going to bring the ball down the
court and you're going to look to where those guards are supposed to be on the floor. Whether
they're at the top of the key, maybe they're on the wing position, which is out off the
to the sides, towards the sides of the court, extended from the top of the key. So when
you grab that rebound, depending on your position, when you grab it, it comes off, you grab it
with two hands, you can turn out, pass the outlet pass, or if you've got the ball and
it comes off, and it comes out, you get two hands, maybe it's easier for you to turn this
way and throw the outlet pass. And so when you get the rebound, two hands, if there's
no one around you -- keep the ball high, look for the outlet person to throw to, but keeping
that ball up high so that nobody can swat at it, and if they do they're going to be
swatting into your body probably, and they're going to hopefully get called for a foul.
So, hands up when you get the rebound, nice and strong, turn and look for your outlet
person, whether they're on the sides or in the middle, get rid of the ball, and get ready
to run.
