Hi my name is Nate McCullough on behalf of expert village. In these following clips we're
going to talk about removal and replacement of the vehicles fuel filter. In this clip
we're going to talk about some of the tools required for replacement of your vehicles'
fuel filter. As you can see here on my trusty magnetic tray, I have a couple of assorted
tools out. These rainbow assorted colored plastic devices here are for fuel line quick
disconnects. They're not necessarily on this particular vehicle. However, if your fuel
filter is attached with quick disconnects you're going to have to use one of these.
They pretty much slide over the fuel line slide into the connection and that will release
the retaining spring. This particular vehicle has permanent tension spring loaded hose clamps.
They're not the kind of hose clamps that has the screw in it. They are just the squeeze
together clamp. You use the plyers take and squeeze the tabs and slide it out of the way.
On this particular vehicle you only need two sockets. Yours may vary depending on the make
and model. I need a 10 millimeter with my 3/8 rachet, a 8 millimeter and a small 3 inch
extension and as you can see I have my replacement fuel filter.
