-Nothing is as important right now
to this wonderful faculty as our physical renewal.
-Make no mistake that the students who come here
to the University of Toronto's Faculty of Law
come with plans to make a difference in the world.
The improvements to the Law School's physical space
will make it a destination of choice for the best
Canadian and international applicants.
-To be surrounded by the support and confidence and excitement
of so many alumni and students and faculty and friends
of the Law Faculty, it's just wonderful.
These people, I think, are really
just so excited about what the new building is
going to do for the faculty.
And particularly, when they hear from the students
and what a difference it'll make,
I think it really energizes them.
-Current students at U of T strongly
believe in the building campaign.
This is so, even though many of them
are in the same position as you, they
will have graduated before anyone ever
attends a class in the new building.
Students recognize that the entire alumni community,
of which they will soon be members,
will benefit from the reinvigoration of the Faculty's
physical home.
-I attribute it to a large group of individuals
who are greatly appreciative to the law school for what it did
for their personal journey and learning
and how it's contributed to their success.
But I also think that, frankly, the most exciting part
is their belief in the importance of the future
and the crying need for us to have
a great physical plant that will allow our students
and our faculty to do even more amazing work than they're
already doing.
-I thank you for being here tonight
and for your generosity.
What it makes possible is truly exciting.
