Alright, today on this 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt were going to do a test fit of part #: A103-white-114
from Kuat, this is the alpha bicycle rack. Alright, a couple of things to note about
this bicycle rack, it is designed for inch and a quarter receiver hitches, both class
1 and class 2 and on this vehicle well be working with a class 1 hitch. Now to start
off our test fit were going to install the bike rack into the hitch, well slide in the
hitch pin and then lock on the other side. Then we can go ahead and tighten down the
anti-rattle ***. After the bike racks installed well go ahead and get a couple of clearance
measurements. Alright, from the bike rack to the bumper the clearance is going to be
6 inches. Ground clearance is going to be 13 inches.
Alright, now well go ahead and tilt the bike rack out of the way and check access to the
trunk of the car. Alright, to load up a bike well make sure the straps are out of the way
and the cradles that were going to use and well make sure that the anti-sway bar of cradles
are tilted towards the center. And then we can load up a bike. Well load up the bike,
well balance it out on the cradles and then well go ahead and swing the anti-sway bar
cradle back down towards the seat tube of the bike, well strap that in place, then go
ahead and run the straps over the top tube of the bike.
