Hello everyone. First, I'm sorry about this mask. I'm not affiliated with Anonymous of
anything. It's just that I don't feel like showing my face. So please bear with me. So
I'm going to show you how to fold 5 different types of petticoat. The 1st one is a normal
3-hoops petticoat, with no gauze or netting. And the 2nd one is a 3-hoops petticoat with
a netting. The 3rd petticoat is 2-hoops petticoat or hoopskirt if you would like to call it
with netting. The 4th one is a train petticoat and the last one is a 6-hoops petticoat. Before
I start I'd like to clarify that the first four petticoats follow quiet the same steps
which is...it involved about 5 steps —you find the joint, and then you will hold the
hoops together, and then twist, and then you hug, and then align. So for the first four
petticoats, that's basically the steps that you need to go through. And the last petticoat
which is the 6-hoops petticoat, it uses a slightly different technique but I'll show
you later. Alright now I think we'll just go straight to the 1st petticoat. So here
I have with me a 3-hoops petticoat. This is the normal one. So like I said just now, there's
the 5 steps thing. This is the 3-hoops petticoat. There's no gauze or netting. So remember the
5 steps. First is finding the joint. Here you will find the joint at the gap. You know,
there's this gap. Here I show you. I'm not a native speaker so I don't know how to define
this but yeah, this is the gap. This is the joint. So usually I will find these joints
and align them together like that and hold this part and then I'll do the same on the
opposite site. I will look for the opposite side. So what I'll do is, like I said you
hold it firmly. And then you will twist it to form a number '8'. You can see now, when
I twist, it will form a number '8'. So from this, you will continue to hug one part of
the loop. So you see, when you hug, make sure that they don't cross each other's way. Like
this, I twist and then I hug, make sure that this does not intrude the other's way. So
count it, make sure that 3-hoops here does not interfere the 3 steel over here. So then,
you align them together. Okay. Align them together and there you go. You have a quite
nice...nicely folded 3-hoops petticoat. Alright, that's the first one. Moving on to the 2nd
type of petticoat. Look here I have with me a 3-hoops petticoat with netting. You see,
there are two layers of netting here. So you have this 3-hoops petticoat with netting.
How to fold it is you first upturn it inside out. Not inside out but yeah, upside down.
And then like the first petticoat before, you will find the joint. It's here. Align
it together. One, two, three. Alright. Just do the same on the opposite...one,two,three.
Okay then. And then, just like before, just hold it and then stretch a bit and then you
twist to form a number '8' and then hug. Using your elbow to hug here and aligning and flipping
the loops towards each other. So there you go, it's nicely folded. And you only have
to deal with folding the netting which I'm just gonna do it the normal way. And there
you go. It's folded. This is how you would fold a 3-hoops petticoat with netting. And
just find the..you can continue by placing it into your plastic wrapping and store it
away. Okay, moving on to the 3rd type of petticoat. Here I have with me a 2-hoops petticoat with
netting here. Just like the petticoat before, you turn it upside down. And then you find
the joint again. I don't know if I have clarified this before but the joint is where the two
ends of the steel meet together. Over here. So that's where you touch it. One and two.
And find the opposite. Hold it. Again, you hold it where it divides into equal parts,
stretch a bit, and the you twist into a number '8' and then hug. Hug and align. Make sure
the steels don't get into each other. Align them parallelly. And then, there you go. It's
folded into a smaller loop. So as usual, the netting, you just fold it however you want,
like how you would fold a cloth. And then, tuck it..and then you can swiftly put it inside
the plastic wrapping. I hope you got that step. So that was how you fold a 2-hoops petticoat
with netting. Okay, moving on to the 4th type of petticoat which is a train petticoat. You
know, the kind of petticoat that you would usually wear with a wedding gown with a train.
I hope you can see the shape of this petticoat but what we have is..yeah, this longer end
of it here. So how you fold it —you turn it upside down with the longer end will be
facing you like that and the shorter end will be near your body. So just grab the side part
of the petticoat. I meant this arch will be smaller than this arch. I'm taking this smaller
arch over here so it's easier to control when you want to fold it. Okay again, for this
train petticoat, hold it, and then stretch a bit. And then make it a number '8' and then
hug and then flip...try to flip the other side. Yes, like that. Once you've done that,
you can try to align the loops so it will be equi..it will have equal circumference
with each other. Okay there. There you go. So the rest of the netting, I'll just tuck
it. There you go. I think I'll do this later cause it's taking too long. So moving on to
the last petticoat which is a 6-hoops petticoat. There you have it, a very big one. This is
a 6-hoops petticoat. To fold it, we use a different ..a quite different technique from
the first four petticoats. I'll show you. So to do this thing will also requires about
4 or 5 steps. First, you will find the joint. And then you will hold it together, the 6
steels. And then you will stretch it a bit, and then you will flip..you will flip like
that. And you will use your thumb..your left hand thumb to hold the already formed loop.
And then you will..the last loop you will flip it inside the already formed loop. Okay.
So we find the joint..one, two, three, four, five, six. Alright. And find the opposite.
I take a smaller area over here to hold. As I said, smaller area is easier to control.
So what we do, we flip. Like I said, we will stretch a bit and then we flip like that.
See, it will form a.. Make sure you hold 6 steels in your left hand and 6 steels in your
right hand. And so we will use this thumb..thumb on my left hand to hold this part here. And
so you see there's a loop forming here, you just flip it and there you go. You have..you
will have a folded 6-hoops petticoat. So all you need is to align them so it will have
equal length of loop. You see because this is a...this has a lot more steels and it is
bigger, you will need an extra strength to hold it. You need to be careful or it will
become uncontrollable and it will start to unfurl. So, there you go. That's it. And then
you can stack it inside the plastic wrapping or whatever your petticoat comes in. So there
you go, how to fold 5 different types of petticoat. I hope that was a clear step by step instruction
for you. I'm sorry if it's a bit unorganized but yeah, that was it. Have a nice day and
I hope that was helpful.
