I'm here, at Atalaya, a very important place to me...
I discovered this place thanks to an magazine interview with Hernán and Myrta...
Several years ago I was living in Puerto Madryn and I saw them in the magazine.
I felt attracted by the place and I always wanted to visit it.
Now I live in Merlo, it's very near. One day I came to visit and it was very important because...
they received me very well and I loved the place. I think it's very special, full of energy...
and they offer different therapies.
I work with Ayurvedic massage.
Ayurvedic massage is within the Ayurvedic medical system which is the oldest medical system of humanity...
which is more than five thousand years old.
It is the medical system of India. It is very complex and comprehensive.
One of the important parts of this system is the massage.
For Ayurveda, humanity is divided into three biotypes or doshas...
Each is determined by the physical, mental and spiritual characteristics.
For each dosha, there is a specialization, in this case in massage.
Or in any other treatment.
Each dosha can change and specifically the vata dosha is air, light and dry.
Pitta dosha is hot, is the only one of the three doshas that is warm and energetic.
And Kapha dosha that is stable and peaceful.
In an Ayurvedic massage session we ask some questions to the patient to determine the prevailing dosha.
Once we determine the dosha, we work with specific essential oils...
to keep this dosha balanced. We have all three doshas...
but one of them is the most prevalent or sometimes two.
So we need to keep it balanced. It may be unbalanced or not.
The massage is specific to keep that dosha balanced. If the dosha is quiet as Kapha dosha...
we conduct a stimulating massage. If Pitta dosha is dominant...
a very energetic type, we try to soothe it with another massage and with specific essential oils.
The questionaire also determines the type of food for that dosha...
to keep it balanced. The type of physical activity and contact with nature.
Several suggestions are given to follow a plan of balance and equilibrium.
Thank you very much and I invite you to come to Atalaya...
because it's a magical, unique and meeting place. I look forward to seeing you...
and you can visit the website for furthur information.
