Once I have my film in the camera, then I bust out my tape again, and I am going to
tape these hinges shut. Now, the Holga comes with plastic metal hinges, but I take them
off because they tend to just want to slide right off, and your camera gets opened; Its,
again, one of these mysteries of design with the Holga. And I really tape up my cameras
well. Now, it's really funny to see a professional photographer photographing events with a camera
covered in tape. But I feel that it is somewhat worth the humiliation for some of the images
that I get. And usually when people see what images I get, they tend to forget that I'm
working with a camera that has tape all over it. Now after my camera is taped up, this
is very important, I want to advance it to 1. There's been a few times when I've been
in a rush where I didn't advance that to 1, and I was essentially taking exposures on
paper, which is not something that you want to do. So you see that 1 lines up in the frame,
and then you're good to go.
