What's up guys? It's Derek from Total Hockey. Today I got to test out the Bauer Nexus 1N
skate.
I'm definitely liking this simple look to these skates. A lot of black here with the
blue accents to it.
In the uppers here you have 3D lasted CURV composite. It felt really good to me a lot
more form fitting than the previous models but it still gives you a little bit of a wider
boot than the other lines.
You've got the comfort edge abrasion patches around the ankle so you're gonna get a lot
of comfort there it's not gonna be anything digging into your ankle when you're skating.
You also have the form fit lite tongue provides even more comfort. Alright, so when you have
this rigid boot you still gonna get a real comfortable feel from it.
For your instep Bauer's provided you with the Bauer Speed Plate which you can bake and
mold to the arch of your foot and on the outsole you have the ultra lightweight vented composite
which is very lightweight and it also works in tandem with the 37.5 liner on the inside
which is gonna evaporate moisture and then it's gonna vent out of the bottom of the skate.
No surprise here with these Bauer skates you have the Tu'uk lightspeed edge holder and
you also have the quicklite release trigger to change out your steel.
At first glance the tendon guard looked a little taller but after using it, didn't feel
a whole lot different from previous models.
Overall, I really liked this skate from look to feel to performance just really fell in
love with it quickly. And don't forget you can find this 1N at a Total Hockey store near
you or at TotalHockey dot com.
I got to test out the Bauer Supreme 1S skate.
