Wayne Abraham is pushing the boundaries for under water filming.
He has been diving for 23 years and is breaking down barriers
in the profession.
Heta Gardiner has our report.
A path he started pursuing 23 years ago.
Now Wayne has turned his attention to under water filming.
Here are the fruits of that labour.
This is one of the many DVD's made by Wayne.
They have used some 3D Panasonic cameras
which are new to the field, especially at this end of the world.
Wayne was a diving instructor and worked a lot with Maori.
So why did he get into this profession?
Even though he loves this job,
the financial aspect isn't very appealing.
He feels that because the technology is so new,
they are still learning the ropes.
But once that process is complete
they will reap the financial benefits.
And he believes it will happen.
Heta Gardiner, Te Karere.
