Hi! My name is Julio Anta of Anta’s Fitness and Self Defense in Miami, Florida and my
website is www.miamikettlebell.com. And the next move in kettlebell for martial arts is
what I call “roll up.” This takes a lot of alignment, a lot of power from your core,
hips and legs. It has got to be more ballistic than ever; and the move is easier I think
with weight than it is without weight. I will show you one time without weight so you can
see my body moving; let me just do it and then I will explain. And pop up. This is great
for ballistic power, great for overwhelming your opponent and to strengthen your body.
The way your body moves when we are fighting and walking and doing different things. So
the move is going to work like this. My weight is on my heels, my butt touches first, my
back is rounded like a turtle or a rocking chair, my chin is inter-protected, and my
legs will give me the momentum as I go back to pop back up. So watch the move and watch it sideways, watch my upper back,
the way it hunches over like a turtle. Great move for any martial artists, from the grappler
to the stand up fighter, for bursting power, and hit power, and coordination.
