Calvin Harris was born in Dumfries, Scotland in 1984.
He was attracted by electronic music as a teenager and began recording demos in his bedroom in 1999.
According to an interview with the tabloid News of the World, with all the time spent creating the music, he would have developed an antisocial personality.
His first success was in his 21 years: Songs Da Bongos and Brighter Days were published as a single 12 "EP and the Prima Facie label in early 2002 under the name Stouffer.
In 2006, Calvin Harris 23 years old, no more coming to pay his rent in London, returns to his hometown of Dumfries and worked for some time at Marks & Spencer
Shortly after, he was discovered by Tommie Sunshine on the social network MySpace and became famous, and sign contracts with labels EMI and Sony BMG.
So far, he had only managed to get a song in 2004 with artist Ayah Marar, who appears on the album The Unabombers' Electric Soul
