So I know a lot of people have been wondering, "What's the main difference between cream
and powder makeups?" So I'm going to give you some tips on how to differentiate and
how to figure out which one is best for you. So, the main difference, cream, I would say
any skin type can use it. It comes in a variety of finishes, satin, matte, dewy. It also comes
in a variety of coverage amounts, so you can get light coverage, medium coverage, full
coverage, it really depends on what you're looking for. I really think any skin type
can use it.
Sometimes people who are drier tend to go more towards liquid foundation, but anyone
can use it. It does come in oil-free matte finishes, so people who are oily can still
get away with a liquid foundation. Powder, it depends on what kind of powder you're using.
There are powder foundations. There are also setting powders. So if you're using powder
as a foundation, usually oilier skin types prefer a powder foundation. There are some
that are lighter coverage. There are some that are fuller coverage. Some have the SPF.
There's also mineral makeup, and I definitely like mineral makeup for people who have more
sensitive skin or who are oily or acne-prone. It seems to work a little bit better.
That's not saying that's for everyone, but try it out for your skin. If it works, that's
awesome. Setting powders are usually kind of sheer. They might have a white tint to
them. They're generally for any type of skin tone and they're very smooth and soft. Anyone
can use those. They just kind of dust right over the face, smooth everything out, set
everything so that it stays a little bit better and you get a nice, beautiful, finished, polished
look. That's the difference between liquid and powder foundations.
