Hi everyone, so today I'm gonna be doing a makeup look for you.
I'm gonna be doing a blue eye
umm it doens't necessarily go with my eye color.
I know a lot of people are afraid of blue eyeshadows. So what I'm gonna do is kinda show you
how to incorporate blue eyeshadow without looking like Mimi. You know
from the Drew Carey Show. Woo! So today we're gonna
be using the Urban Decay NYC Palette.
Umm this is the little thingamajig.
The colors that we're gonna be using are,
I don't know how to pronounce this one, Haight.
Then we'll be using Aquarius,
and, let's see here, Goddess.
So we have a darker, little bit more blue, and then a lighter blue for the
inner corner. So those are the three colors that we're gonna be using so let's go ahead
and get started with our primer. So we're gonna using
our eye primer first. I'm using this
Lorac Behind the Scenes eye primer. So
put that all over our eyeballs.
Ok,
next we're gonna do our base color.
So, the base
color again that we're gonna be using is this
H-A-I-G-H-T, Haight??? That's how you say it, I don't know.
So just take a brush and
get that on the brush. We're gonna go ahead and put that on the
base of our eye.
Ok,
so this is the base color that we're gonna have on. Now we're gonna go ahead and
blend that out. So, just take
a blending brush and go ahead
and just kinda blend that into the crease a little bit, so it's not quite a
harsh line.
Ok, so
there is the look blended out. Now
what we're gonna do is take a pencil brush
which looks like this. That's a pencil brush and this is
just an ELF one, so it's a $1. We're gonna be taking the darker of our
colors, which is Goddess. So just take any
navy, kinda looking blue. Something that'a little bit darker than what your base color
was. We're just gonna put that on our brush
and your just gonna put that right in the outer corner and then
up into the crease a little bit, ok. So just
up into the corner. So it's gonna kinda look like
that at first. Ok, so first it's gonna look
like this. You're just putting a little bit of that blue onto the outer corner.
We're just gonna take the same blending brush and we're gonna kinda blend that
out. Ok, so just kinda go.... I usually take
and blend outward a little bit so that I'm getting some of that blue on there
but we can put a little bit more on there soon. So just take that
and then just kinda swirl it in the corner there.
Take it in a little bit.
Alright,
so this is what we have up to this point and now what I'm gonna do
is I'm gonna take the blending brush that we just had. I'm gonna put it back into our
original base color, the Haight, and I'm just gonna take that
and kinda pull that over where the two colors
had met to just make sure that we have a nice
blended gradient effect. So just take that and it's just gonna
lightly put a little bit of color on there. Alright, so this is what we have so
far. Now what we're gonna do is we are going to
take a small brush. I'm just taking a little
concealer brush. If you have another pencil brush use that, but I don't. So what we're gonna
do is put that into the lightest of our blue color, which for me, I'm using
Aquarius. So we're just gonna take a little bit of that
color on the end of our brush and we're gonna
dab that right into the inner corner of the eye.
Alright, so just kinda take that and just pull it up.
So just take that, pull it
up and there we go.
Then just kinda dab it out a
little bit. Do the other side.
Just take it, kinda pull it
out a little bit so that it follows the gradient
color. Ok, so
this is what the eye is gonna look like. So we have the lighter shade
going into our base color, all the way out to the outer V. Alright so
that is the shadows that we'll be using today. Now I'm just gonna go ahead
and put on some eyeliner. I'm using a black eyeliner. This
is a Be a Bombshell. It's just the tip
eyeliner. So let me go ahead and do that and I'll be right back.
Ok, so as you can see, with the eyeliner, I just put a small
line on there. So not too thick. So now I'm gonna go ahead and take my
little Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Pencil in black
and I'm gonna tight-line my eyes, be right back. Ok, so we went
ahead and tight-lined the eyes. Now we're gonna go ahead and curl the lashes.
Ok,
the mascara that I'm using is The Balm "Bodybuilder".
Little sample of this. I'm running out, I'm so sad. I think I'm gonna try
NYX one next. So we're gonna go ahead put on the mascara then I'll be right back. Ok,
so we have mascara on. Ok, one thing that I
forgot to do is, what you're gonna need is a smudger brush.
Let me get mine. So it's very short and kinda stubby. Looks like that.
We're gonna take that same base
color that we were using and we're gonna put it along the bottom lash line.
Just to kinda connect in the colors. So let's go ahead and do that.
Again you don't need to take it all the way down.
I'm just taking it to about 3/4 of the way into my eye.
So again take it on the other side.
Just gonna take that
again about 3/4 of the way in
to our eye. Alright, then what your gonna do is
take that same one and your gonna put it into your middle highlight
color and we're gonna connect that with the inner highlight.
Ok,
do that on the other side.
Ok,
and for the last part of our eye makeup look, which I forgot to do is
you want to put a highlighter just to kinda blend in your eyes. So what I'm gonna be using is my Lorac
Pro Palette. All I'm gonna be using is a plain white
color. So if you have any white is just put right on your finger
and then just blend it a little bit down into there.
Take it on the other one. You can just blend it
in there and just use your finger. So, that is our completed
look. Again there is the eye look.
I will have pictures for you obviously at the
end. Hopefully you guys enjoyed this and you're not afraid to wear blue
shadow anymore. As you can see, this does not look like
Mimi. It just really is important that you use the right tones of blue,
and that your use it in a good gradient color. You have the proper proportions and all of that.
You can definitely pull it off! So hopefully you guys have enjoyed this video and
if you have any ideas for blue eyeshadow, let me know in the comment belows.
Or send me a video response of a blue eyeshadow look that you did. Alright guys I'll see you in my next
video. Remember to like and please subscribe for more great videos.
Have a great holiday! Bye everybody!
