Welcome to SmartXBRL. This is a video on editing the XBRL output of your HTML conversion.
As you can see, I already have a 10Q filing from Microsoft that I converted earlier. Let's open it.
Now that we have the document open, we now can edit its content.
For an example, let's look at the balance sheet.
The tag editor is located on the right hand side of the screen.
Here you can see that the tags are color-coded
To edit a tag, click on the current tag and select the replacement from the current menu.
The colors represent the likelihood that the tag is the correct one, where green is the most likely, and yellow is the least likely.
You can also pick a tag that isn't in the drop-down menu by selecting "Customize".
Here, you can either search for a different tag in the USGAAP taxonomy, or you can create a company extension tag.
These will be explained in a later video.
After we have assigned the correct tags for every row, we just need to click on "Save Changes" to save our changes.
