Here we have a long button down sleeve and I don't have a cuff on this one, it's just
a long sleeve. Think of like, I'm trying to think of a movie reference, think of like
Oklahoma! Or old timey design, Victorian era where there weren't cuffs but we have a fitted
sleeve that has the seam and then it buttons but it's basically, it's cuffless. It's going
to go, like the collarless shirts that go around the neckline and look like they're
missing something in my personal opinion. That's what this is. Sometimes you may not
want to have a cuff. It may be a period costume that you're designing such as something Victorianesque
and you have the sleeve that is fitted and then definitely tapers and then buttons and
there's no separate button placket, it's just the buttons along the bottom sleeve and you
may have a skirt with this that has a bustle, and a veil with a little hat and carry a parasol
and that would be totally Victorian. So hopefully you're getting some sort of idea of what it
can be used for. I personally never use it in any of my designs. I just know that it's
there if I want to use it, so have fun. Do what you will.
