Hi, I'm Mark Sullivan for Expert Village. And today you're going to learn how to start
a fire with friction. So I'm going to crumble it up and I'm going to put it around our bowl
and see if, actually, I'm going to lay a piece directly into the bowl. So first we're going
to relax the tension on our bow. Then we're going to take one complete revolution around
with our string. I sure hope this string holds up. This is a jute string. So we'll see if
this will work for us. I need to put my knee right here. Get that jammed up against a rock,
knee on that, put this into here and we're going to put our bearing on the top. Something
like that and let's see. This is the basic setup so you can see. I may need to put a
bigger hole into the bottom piece of wood. In fact, I think we're going to need to get
a bigger piece of wood than this for the bottom.
