One of the more common Dynamic Elements
used in ProcessBook is the Dynamic Value.
And that is derived by selecting Draw
and Value from the Menu.
And, in this case, the cursor changes, lies in all the
other Drawing Elements, and you simply draw a little square
where you want to place the Value. Now,
in this case, I want to make a little reference for my Bar Graph,
so I am going to use the same tag that I used
in an earlier example, my BA:Level1 Tag.
And, I want to configure this with the
Tag Name on the top and the
Timestamp on the bottom. And, you can see down here
the layout. If I wanted the Tag Name to the left
and Timestamp on the bottom, it would be laid out as
such. You can click Show Units if the
Engineering Units have been defined. So, I can click OK
and then I get my, my
Indicator here, and I can associate that with my Tank.
To change the coloring of
your, of your Dynamic Value,
you simply select it and then the color wheel,
and you can change it to be whatever color your wish.
I will change it to match the color of my Bar
Graph fill. And,
you can see, that this, this will take off the
Time as well as the, the Current Value
for this tag. Now, the one thing
that's sometimes is not intuitive is how to
change the font size, because very often, if you try
to drag this larger or smaller, you will not get
the original window back. What you will get is the Font
Definition Window. So, if I try to drag this larger,
it knows I am trying to make the text bigger, so
it's going to let me do that through this feature.
And, in this case, I will make the fonts larger
or smaller. And,
that's how you use the Dynamic Value on the screen.
