I'm Craig Johnson. I'm the PhD academic program coordinator
I teach courses in a quantitative area particularly statistics,
research design, evaluation, object oriented systems development
And, I have recently focused my research efforts
having to do with informatics solutions towards the identification,
prediction and intervention associated with adverse academic status events
in health science students and graduate students more generally
This is a great place, the School of Biomedical Informatics
to pursue a degree
in health informatics, biomedical informatics
The school has a lot of pluses
we're in the Texas Medical Center, located in its heart
there are many opportunities for collaboration with other
institutions, hospitals
Within the area this is the largest, the Texas Medical Center is
the largest medical center in the country
But, in particular this school is one which has a great record
having to do with the graduates of the PhD program
among those are the fact that
all of our graduates have gone on to, very quickly be accepted
in the university and government, education and research positions
