RAUL LABRADOR: I do know that (regarding) the people I'm working with...
...people in both the Democratic and Republican parties that I'm talking to...
...and I talk to many, many people...
...things are going very well.
The key will be what I stated here... (at the CPAC immigration panel)...
(which is) whether the Democratic Party can truly be able to withstand the pressure
that they are currently receiving from labor unions.
Because labor unions do not want a reform program.
They do not want what is known as a "guest worker program"...
...a program to bring workers into the United States.
And so far, the President and the Democrats have always done whatever the unions want.
Now we'll see whether they choose Latinos over the unions.
JOURNALIST: What the unions are saying is that they want these workers not to
come, quote, "temporarily", but that they come so that one day, even if it's far off,
RL: That's...that's...that's not true.
What they want is to make it so difficult for people to come to the United States...
because what they want is for unions to grow in the United States.
