on the thirty days.
My name is Jack Jenkins and this is Academy
of One. Today we're going to be talking about
killing.
nah, I'm just playing.
I'm not going to be killing a person cause
then I'll be in jail. I'm going to be talking about killing
a bad habit. Let's be honest
here. We all have bad habits that we
need to try and kill but it's just
so hard. It is way easier to
start a new habit then it is to kill a bad habit. You know what I
said in the install video, we are
a man is nothing but his good habits? We'll
the devil ain't nothing but his bad

Nah, so,
I'm going to be talking about some bad habits and how
to kill them. So first, you gotta
identify what are bad habits. Let's be honest, we all know what
bad habits are, but some examples. Smoking.
Nah, ugh, hurts your lungs. Drinking,
kills brain cells.
Smoking yet again, I mean seriously, it's
2013, who here still smokes, I know I look
like I some cause I wearing a jacket and
I look like a greaser basically, but that's just what I
dress like outside of here. In the videos I dress like this cool
nerd outside I'm just, ugh!
Anyways, another bad habit is picking your nose.
You know, I see people in there thirty who still
dig in there noise, that's disgusting, really,
stop that habit immediately. So now
that we know some habits, let's talk about how exactly,
are we going to get rid of them using the thirty days
system. We'll in my experience it takes around
twenty five/ twenty six days to kill a bad habit.
However, we're going to do it for thirty days
to make sure it's dead.
Put this down before I hurt myself.

[Music] So,
what I want you to do is I want you to grab your peace of
paper and I want you to identify the
bad habit you want to kill. For instance, this time
I'm going to be killing coffee. I know coffee isn't
that bad for you, however, I drink like three
or four cups of it. Not only that, but I add alot
of sugar. I add alot of french vanilla flavoring.
And that adds up to like 200 calories.
200 calories plus four cups equals 800 calories a
day. And that's why I'm obese. So
once you identify the bad habit you want to kill
here's some advice, you remember what I said about
installing the good habit, putting it on
a peace of paper and putting it on the door.
We'll we're going to be doing that for your bad habit too. Write
down, I don't want to do, blank.
Put it in like 150 point font. Bigger than the
install habit and go bam! Right on the
door. This way yo wake up everything
you turn your like oh man,
I can't drink my coffee anymore or
I cant pick my noise. Oh no!
No! No! but then your stronger than that you know?
You can defeat the bad habit.
You can. So I just want to give you
a heads up really quick that killing the bad habit
like I said, is probably the hardest part
of the thirty days system. Harder than learning something,
harder than completing the challenge. And harder
than installing a good habit. Killing a bad habit
is probably one of the most difficult things a
human being can do. But you know what, it
is worth it. Cause our bad habits are what bring
us down. People usually rely on their bad
habits for excuses. Like, oh I can't exercise you know.
My lungs hurt. You know why your lungs hurt? Cause you smoke
two fricken packs a day.
You know why you're always so sad and depressed well
it's cause you have the habit of playing videogames nine
hours a day or watching tv for five hours a
day when you should be up walking around
and working out. ooo, see,
it takes a little bit for me to warm up.
Once I do, I'm like fire cracker, I'm like bam! Bam!

So another tip to help you kill your bad habit before I get
all side tracked again is that you should, here's an idea,
tell your bad habit to
someone you love. Cause people who love
you, they don't want to see you get down, and that's what your
bad habits are doing, they bring you down. So you tell the person like
hey, I want to stop smoking. And that person will then
give you some motivation. They'll be like, alright, here's what you
need to do. Blah, blah blah, blah blah. Even better
if you like, if there's like a peer group, for instance, like
alcohols anonymous. If you drink too much then go ahead
and contact them, be part of there group and be part
of there support. While it seems that like,
the habit is dead within
twenty five days. There's still a little part of you that's like
drink, drink,
drink. In the first twenty five days it's like, DRINK!
DRINK! DRINK!
And know it's like, drink, drink,
drink. And with a peer group it will be
like. Drink, drink,
drink. Cause you have other voices being like good job
nice job. Stop that bad habit. Eh, you!\
Telling him drink drink. Shut up!
Shut up!
So know we finally finished up
the lick system. We figured
out what we wanted to learn. Go ahead and grab your sheet.
We figured out what we wanted to learn. You figured out habit you wanted to install.
You figured out thirty different challenges that
you should do each and every day of the system. And you
figured out what habit you want to kill.
We're pretty much done, we just
got two more videos left. One video will be on how to
help yourself get motivated so you can conquer out the
thirty days system. And the last video will be
just a conclusion video and me doing a Q&A
session for this series. As customary
