Hey print pros! We are at the Navitor Label Works facility
between Thing 1 and Thing 2 are variable data printing presses.
And today we are going to be talking about variable printing on labels.
Variable data printing involves changing one or more elements.
You can change anything from text, background, images, data.
The possibilities are really endless for personalizing your labels.
One of the key markets that uses variable printing is the food and beverage industry.
This one here is for an Italian bistro and they are actually placed on the to-go boxes,
so the customers can get an idea of something else they can order next time.
This is a great one that the Humane Society did. They sent out these labels on a gift
to each of their donors. By using variable data printing they were
able to individually thank donors by name and showcase all the different animals that
their donations have helped. Other practical uses for variable data printing
include serial numbers or “use by day”, barcodes, multiple languages or flavors.
This technology is great for direct mail marketing as well.
You can really track your campaigns by geographic area or sales channels.
