Hi, it’s Steve from PartSelect. Today we’re going to show you how to change the wash arm
tube holder on your dishwasher. It’s a really easy job, no tools required. Let me show you
how we do it.
Now the first step in this repair will be to remove the upper rack; simply slide it
forward and there are rack stops on either side that we’ll need to remove. Simply depress
the locking tab and push the rack stop up and out of the track. Next we’ll pull the
whole rack completely out of the dishwasher and we’ll set it on a suitable work surface.
Now with the rack on a suitable work surface we’re simply going to remove the old tube
holder; it’s held in place with a couple of plastic clips on each side that just fold
around the tines on the rack. Separate those enough; you can do that without a tool, just
your thumb, and there’s a split in one part of it here that separates that. Slide it off
the tube.
Take our new one, open that up, slide it around the tube, straddle the rear tine and push
it up into place; and on the opposite side you’ll notice that there is two tines that
are close together there so we’ll want to go with the one that is closest to the center,
and then we are ready to reinstall the rack.
Now we’re ready to reinstall the upper rack; open the door again, pull each of the rails
out to give us a little better access. Engage one of the rear wheels first, and then the
other side. Slide the rack all the way back and then we’ll put our rack stops back in;
open end goes in first, make sure it locks into position, and our repair is complete.
We told you it was an easy job. Thanks for watching, and good luck with your repair.
