The 21 Conspiracy: episode two . . . . . . . . . . . . .
What if there's something you only learn when you turn 21?
- We think that you get confronted when you're 21, by like, a group of trusted adults, anyone over 21 basically.
It could be friends, parents, your workmates. They whisper something in your ear, and from that moment on you change.
We're trying to figure out why. What it is they learn.
- I mean, it's not just individual cases we're talking about, I mean, this is happening everywhere.
You know, most people wish they were young again. What is it they no longer have or, maybe the right question is, what is it they wish they didn't know?
- Well um, well, what do you think? - Saul thinks it has something to do with aliens.
- My friend Sara and I have been working on it for quite a while but still we're not sure.
- I'm going to go see her today. You can come if you want.
-
- I wouldn't believe you if it wasn't for Tay.
- There might always be people with their suspicions but if they keep turning 21 we'll never figure it out.
We know vaguely something important happened in the sixties like riots or protests or...
- No it's more like I can't imagine our parents are hiding so much from us.
- I've hidden a lot from my parents.
- Do you want to go out for coffee some time?
No I mean to discuss this conspiracy more. Before the next meeting. It seems like there's so much we could find out.
- It's not that I don't like you, and I'm not saying you like me, I'm saying even if you did, it's complicated. My parents...
- Are they religious?
- You think? "Boys just want to *** you Ayaan". I dunno, it's me too. I'd rather wait till I was married.
I don't see why it's so important to rush it all. With someone you don't even love.
- I don't either.
- Really?
To my parents Christians might as well be satanists.
- Mine too. Look, we have so much in common. How about Monday?
- I think this is our stop.
- Sit, sit. So how's Michael?
- We broke up.
- Oh really?
- It was a few weeks ago. So, I tried calling you, what's been happening?
- Peter and I are engaged.
- Engaged? What happened to 'you have to live it up Ayaan'?
- It just felt like the right time.
- Congratulations.
Look, we came to talk about the conspiracy. This is Winston.
- I don't work on the conspiracy anymore.
- What? Why? - I don't...Ayaan please you have to go.
- If you have to know please don't let it be through me.
- Why do we have to find out before we're 21?
- Well if they're hiding it so carefully it's probably better we know, right?
- I wanna help. - Good. Why?
- Because I'm turning 21 in two weeks.
