Hey! Hello YouTube friends! This is CAA1000 once again. Here's a question for you in Twitter
form. "Where should I go for news on Egypt?" CNN, Fox News, NBC News, or MSNBC, or Al Jazeera?
Huh? Epic Fail! I will explain why. If you known already or in case you missed it, today
is August 20th, 2013. As of this date, Al Jazeera the Arab News Channel from Doha, Qatar.
They used to have the English web site and the English live stream of their news web
site, but apparently, they gave in to Cable TV in the US and decided to end the Al Jazeera
English Channel for US viewers. I will show you why. (click) Let me see! I'm doing this
on my Internet Browser, so let's see if you can see here. This says "Al Jazeera America
launched, AT&T won't carry Network." The same is for Bright House and Time Warner Cable.
What they did is, I mean, Al Jazeera decided to end the English Language Stream. Which
it means, usually... OK I have it here! Usually this is the Al Jazeera web site. But, here's
the deal. They used to have the live stream from Qatar. Now, because they now want to
streaming, I mean not to streaming, they prefer to now go on Cable TV, now they have posted
this saying "Al Jazeera English Live Stream, is no longer available in the US." Now, the
only way you can get Al Jazeera is, if you have Cable TV. I mean, basically the Cable
TV I have, which is Time Warner and Bright House, they don't carry that channel. In fact,
it went like late 20012 or early 2013, when Al Gore sold the "Current TV" Channel to Al
Jazeera. As soon as they found out, Bright House decided to stop carrying the channel,
saying that they... Their contract with them, already ended. But in fact, they only decided
because, as they found out, Al Jazeera bought Current TV. So, Al Jazeera has been streaming
online their English version of the channel, which is the same that you see now as Al Jazeera
America. But, because there has been... I mean, usually the reason why they had the
channel available online, is because almost every Cable TV in the USA was NOT INTERESTED
in having Al Jazeera on their services. So, what they did is, that they decided to end
their online streaming of Al Jazeera and in an effort to see if all the Cable TV systems
in the US will carry on the Al Jazeera America Channel. But only Comcast and DirectTV, I
think they have it. But... AT&T Uverse and also Time Warner and Bright House, they don't
have it. I don't known which other Cable Systems in the USA has Al Jazeera America, or does
not have it at all. Here's the deal. As soon as Al Jazeera started broadcasting, I think
they got word that AT&T Uverse, would be one of the systems that would carry the Al Jazeera
America Channel. But instead, AT&T Uverse said, that they have no interest whatsoever
in carrying on the Al Jazeera America feed. So, Al Jazeera, apparently I heard this over
the Twitter stream... Al Jazeera is going to press legally. They are filling or they
filed lawsuits or something. I guess AT&T Uverse and I wondered if the same would be
done with Time Warner and Bright House... I don't know and I haven't heard that one.
Apparently Al Jazeera America is upset with AT&T Uverse, because they said, they would
carry on Al Jazeera America, but they probably realized up and they have no interest whatsoever
and besides, Al Jazeera America... (Raspy Voice) I mean... If you are able to watch
Al Jazeera America, is probably a copycat of CNN or Fox News. So, who cares? I mean,
If I want to watch CNN, I can watch CNN! If I want to watch FOX News, I can watch Fox
News! But, here's the deal. I want to watch Al Jazeera, because this is the only channel
that provided news with the current situation in Egypt and CNN has no interest on that,
so is Fox News. So, where should I get to watch the news on Egypt? Oh well, maybe there
is one thing left (click), is always Twitter... Cause, you know what? Results for Egypt and
all I have to do is press (click) the stream... and I will continue getting... The stream
and whatever is happening in Egypt... I know it takes a little bit, cause this computer
is not that fast as I thought (click). Here is and not that I can read in Arab, but...
(long pause)... (Laugh)... What is this? "Al Jazeera America TV Shows..." That's funny!
"Law and Sharia Egypt!" That's so laughable and I mean, people trying to add little humor
on the Al Jazeera America's decision to stop online streaming and going Cable TV. I mean...
You can see some of the Twitter comments I have here... and... I guess, I mean, I guess
the only way I can get the news from Egypt, will be on Twitter because the way Cable TV
is doing now... Um hum hum! I don't think so! MEH! As we often say! Thank you for watching,
