Hey, it's Todd again from skates.co.uk scooter team, I'm here today to show you how to install your new double collar clamp, or soon to be quad clamps, coming soon from Blazer to be stocked at skates.co.uk.
So this is what you'll get if you order yourself a Blazer double clamp: you get your clamp and (if you don't drop it..) you get yourself a little shim as well.
So, what I've already done is loosened off my stock JD Bug double collar clamp, which I'm changing perhaps because it's broken or I just want a cool looking new Blazer Pro one.
I just pull off my bars and the clamp. We put that to one side and now we're going to install the new Blazer clamp.
So just like I did with the JD Bug clamp, you just slot it on, and then you can see if you need your shim. This would sit round the bars, and the clamp would fit on top of it.
It just fits inside, just like that, there we go, because this is an oversized clamp.
So that slots on like that, with the shim, and then back onto your bars again, and you can see already it's looking a bit chunkier than your JD Bug clamp.
Definitely a bit easier to screw together as well. Another good thing is if you have got a slightly lower model JD Bug that didn't come with a double clamp
buying a double clamp is really important because they're so much stronger than single clamps, and will stop your forks breaking, stop your bars breaking, and some bars actually need a double collar clamp.
Again, like in the last video, make sure your bars are nicely lined up, make sure your clamp is facing backwards,
and then, we get on just tightening it up. Much easier to tighten up that the other clamp. All thicker material so it's all stronger.
It's pretty much a great addition to your scooter. So there you go. You have your shim that goes inside your clamp, slot it onto your bars, drop it down over the forks.
Line everything up, tighten it up, and you're ready to roll with your brand new Blazer double clamp.
