(Perrysburg, Ohio) (How do I get medical attention if I do not have insurance?)
The question is how do I get medical attention if I don't have
insurance? and this is a tough question that
a lot of our clients experience, those not covered by health insurance
and there's all kinds of proposals in Congress
whether we're going to have Obamacare or not is really up in the air
this election year. The answer is
you probably can get covered on an emergency basis
by going to one of the charity hospitals in town. So if you're in an accident right away
I wouldn't wait.
I would go to the hospital. Go to one of the charity hospitals
and get treated. If you don't have health insurance you may also still have
something called medical payments coverage
on your automobile insurance policy. Many people have this coverage. They can use
up to a $1,000
$5,000 $10,000 I've seen up to $25,000 worth of medical
benefits to pay your medical bills. If you have neither health insurance
nor medical payments coverage we can talk to people. We can get
some agreements from the providers. You will have to reimburse them when you
settle your claim
but we still want to make sure you get treated
because injuries respond better
to active management.
