Hey guys. We're here today learning how to play some fun, new improv games for your improv
team and the next game that Dan B. and I are going to show you is a game called Oscar Winning
Moments. To play Oscar Winning Moments, you're going to get two or three improvisers who
are going to improvise a scene. At one point in time in the scene it's going to be punctuated
by an Oscar Winning Moment. Now, to get the Oscar Winning Moment suggestion from the audience,
you're going to ask them to name some sort of category that you often see people getting
awards for: best picture, best actor, best actress, best supporting actor, or some sort
of scenario like best on stage kiss, best on stage cry, something like that. So, Dan
and I are going to do a scene and let's assume that Dan got the audience suggestion that
you're Oscar Winning Moment is Best Actor. So at some point in time in the scene, Dan
is going to step forward and have his Oscar Winning Moment. Let's get a location suggestion
of being at a high school prom or being at high school reunion. Being at a high school
reunion that will be more fun. So are you ready? "Hey, what's up man? I haven't seen
you in forever." "What's up? How are you doing?" "Is it Bill?" "It's Bill." "Bill! It's good
to see you again, man" "You're Bob, right?" "I'm Bob. Yeah, absolutely. You were dating,
uh, what was her name? Heather?" "Michelle." "Michelle. Are you guys still together?" "No,
no. I mean we dated like a long time ago." "Sure." "I saw her earlier." "Oh, yeah?" "She
looks pretty good." "Does she really?" "I mean I wouldn't mind dating her again. If
she was into that. I'm single. I don't really get to date much." "Well, how does that make
you feel?" "Sometimes I lie awake in bed at night and I wonder where the time went. I
think to myself, why can't I have that moment again with Michelle? The moments that we shared
together when we were so young. The moments of running through the park together, playing
video games, me letting her win. I want those days back." "Well, that's uh, you got a lot
of feelings there." "I think I see a ring. I think she's married." "Yeah I think she's
married, too." "Crap!" "She's got like eight kids, too." "Really, wow!" "And you haven't
seen her walk behind that table but her butt is huge." And that's how you play Oscar Winning
Moments!
