My name's Rob and I’m from England.
We're at the BMW Driver training facility in “Maisach” in Germany.
I’m part of a larger group of some 40 people from the UK
who’ve come across to Germany to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the E46 M3 CSL
and we’ve all converged on Munich over the last couple of days.
I’ve become a BMW fan for some 6 or 7 years now.
I've always liked BMW but I’ve owned one since 2008.
I decided to buy my BMW M3 CSL when the car was just 4 years old.
The M3 CSL is unique in my mind.
The driving sensations of the E46 M3 CSL are very driver focused,
it has a track focus to the car and it’s designed to be driven fast around a race track.
As such, it’s a very dynamic car that’s able to change directions with ease, with much degree of sharpness.
I use Michelin tyres on my car, primarily because the M3 CSL came specified with Michelin tyres.
The car was originally released with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup Tyres because they give extra grip and …
high cornering speeds are achievable by using these tyres.
When you can hook up the car and drive it fast, but with the safety of good tyres,
it’s a great sensation, and the tyres play a crucial role.
Without the right tyres the car would not be able to perform as it does.
And the tyres such as the Michelin tyres help to extract the very best from the M3 CSL.
Owning an M3 CSL is all a about taking part and joining in,
being active with the group and the (BMW) Forum …
getting on a racetrack and experiencing the car with what it can do which is something special.
I think BWM M are very much at the forefront, trying to keep ideas fresh, improve and change things all the time.
