BOTICA V/O: From the studios of Seven Perth, Rick Ardon and Susannah Carr, with Basil Zempilas
and Natalia Cooper. RICK: Good evening. Leading Seven News tonight,
a big explosion in Perth's hills. The blast ripped through a house and sheds
at Hovea, on Great Eastern Highway, near Glen Forest.
It happened late this afternoon. We know two men have been injured, they have been taken
to hospital. In a moment, we will have a live report from
David Cooper. But first, here's Geoff Parry. GEOFF: This is what confronted firefighters
and paramedics in Hovea. SUE: David Cooper is in Hovea. David, what's
the latest? DAVID: Sue, good evening. Well, the good news
for firefighters and other emergency workers here in Hovea and in nearby Parkerville, is
that as we go to air, the blaze is under control. The bad news, however, is that it is far from
contained. So, potentially,
it
could be a big... It's
back to you
in the studio, Rick. RICK:
Thanks
David. -Subtitles not completed-
