The first step in submitting a question is going to the Gi Bill's main web site.
Next you will need to select the "Submit A Question" icon.
You will now be redirected to a different site to submit your question.
Once the page has loaded you will now be able to "log in" if you are a returning user or "Sign up" if you are a new user.
Now it's time to create your account. Simply fill in the boxes with the appropriate informaiton in the blanks provided.
Now that you have created an account you can submit your question.
Click "Ask A Question"
Now you will be able to ask your question.
In the "Subject" line use a few words to describe the content of the question.
Type out your question in the question box. Be sure to provide enough detail to assist the VA in resolving your issue as quickly as possible
You can also attach any supporting documents by clicking "Browse" and selecting a file to be uploaded.
In the "Product" drop down menu select the topic that fits most closly with the issue you are asking a quesion about.
Do the same for the "Category" drop down menu.
When you have the proper categories selected, click "Continue"
Clicking "Continue" will cause a new window to open that can help you find answers to your question immediately.
If none of the following options will answer your quesion click "Finish Submitting Question"
Now your question has sucessfully been submitted.
Take note of your reference # for the future interactions with the VA.
If you click on "Your Account" it will take you back to the main menu where you can see all of the questions you have submitted.
By clicking on a question you have submitted you will be able to review the details of that interaction.
You can add additional information to your question along with documents you would like to include to help the VA resolve your issue.
If you find the answer to your question before the VA has a chance to respond you can always request not to have a response.
This will allow for other claims to be addressed by the VA that are unresolved.
