What's the hardest thing for a foreigner who speaks Korean?
Speaking formally?
NOPE!
Speaking informally?
NOPE!
Pronounciation?
WRONG AGAIN!
The hardest part is English!
Ah, what the heck? Are you serious?
For example, if you go to a cafe the drink orders are often in English.
Americano, Latte, Mocha...they are all English words.
But there's something tricky about it.
In Korean, if you order a Cafe Mocha, you would say "Ca-Pe Mo-Ka."
But, in America, you would say "Cafe Mocha."
There's a slight difference.
But the tricky part is, when I see English words, I don't know how I should pronounce it.
Should I do the American accent?
Or should I do a Korean accent?
Or should I mix them both?
It's really tricky.
Especially, when I order this kind of smoothie...it's really hard.
Just watch.
Hello, can I take your order?
Can I get one Oreo Smoothie?
Excuse me?
An Oreo Smoothie.
What?
Just give me this.
Ohhhhhh, you mean O-RE-OOO smoothie.
Whatever.
Is MY pronunciation wrong?
No way! Oreo is originally English!!!
But, this always happens to me.
I'm good at English but every time I order an Oreo Smoothie, I feel so dumb.
Actually, because of this, my confidence in my English has fallen a bit.
An American has no confidence in her English skills?
WOW! That's hilarious!
Don't believe me?
Should I show you some more? Okay!
Hello, can I help you?
What kind of smoothie?
Forget it.
Just give me a red and yellow smoothie.
Ohhh, I know what you mean!
Also, there's another problem.
For no reason, there are difficult and long names for things.
It's really hard. Thanks -_-
Please.
Regular size.
Why does it have to be this hard???
This is a real problem for foreigners who speak Korean and English.
If you didn't know, now you do!
That's it~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
