The government needs to consider a recent report which said
that if the government does not create community saving initiatives
then the NZ economy will suffer. Roihana Nuri has this report.
If we do not save our money The government will go broke
this is what this finance advisory group says.
This is their report.
This is the Minister of Finance's response.
The report says we need to save to bring the NZ economy back up,
but according to this accountant, not Maori.
Despite that, Ngai Tahu's Whai Rawa initiative
is strongly supporting the tribe's economy.
Whai Rawa is just a small part of our many initiatives.
So how hard is it for Maori on the street to save?
NZers face higher interest rates
if the current excessive foreign borrowing from overseas
and government spending continues.
It is hoped that the government's books will be in the red in 2014-15.
Roihana Nuri, Te Karere.
