Hollywood's golden girl may be joining cast of Marvel's "Black Panther."
Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong'o is in talks to join the standalone super hero flick featuring Chadwick Boseman as the African king turned costumed crusader introduced in "Captain America: Civil War," according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The studio has high hopes for the film about a character whose creation by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby in 1966 marked a major milestone in the civil rights era.

"We take great pride and pressure on our should when we bring any of our characters to the big screen," Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige told the Daily News last month, "but Black Panther especially because of his history his importance in the Marvel universe, because of his importance within our country and around the world.
"Now the fact that we have ("Creed" director) Ryan Coogler behind the camera is unbelievably exciting for us and puts our mind at ease."
Nyong’o plays Maz Kanata in JJ Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The 33-year-old Nyong’o, who won a best supporting actress Academy Award in 2014 for her turn in “12 Years a Slave,” has been in high demand recently. She recently wrapped the chess drama “Queen of Katwe” and is currently busy reprising her role as the computer animated Maz Kanata in “Star Wars: Episode VIII.”
