How do you enhance your business development
pipeline if you're any kind of business you wanna have your pipeline stocked
with customers
that will be sales in the next weeks or months depending upon your sale cycle
sometimes you may work a client for days or weeks in some cases months
before turns into a sale so if you wanna have
sales two or three months down the road you may actually have to take action to get
clients in that pipeline today
what you do today equals results that far out
it's a numbers game if you have one out of ten closes
you want to have ten times as many customers in the pipeline as you wanna have
sales
during the end of your sell cycle visualize that pipeline
maybe have even a white board where you're filling out how many people are
literally in their pipeline
if you wanna make a hundred sales a month from now you want to have a thousand
people in their pipeline
use all your resources on that pipeline use your LinkedIn resource to find out
who the contacts are
what their roles are what they're writing on blogs
are there any news about your potential clients the more time you have
in that pipeline use that to your advantage to gather more intel
about your clients make sure you use resources for
outbound contact like newsletter emails and maybe blog posting videos that you
send to the clients to keep them up-to-date
about your company follow their world too
it's all about people what is going on with them is important to know
are their contacts changing are they getting promoted are there acquisitions in
their business are they working on contracts
for other entities if you know more about your customers and they know
more about you
your closing ratio when that sale cycle and then it's time to make that deal
will be much higher
