I-Kick 5W-12W: final output adjustment system for mechanical mods from Gold Drive.
Hi, today we will talk about adjustment.
Not of that kind which you can see behind me but mechanical mods adjustment.
Do you also sometimes feel annoyed when you take your battery in the morning,
put it in your mod, and 3 hours later (maybe a bit sooner, maybe a bit later)
you start feeling sorry as the final output of your mod becomes lower and lower
as your battery is going weaker and weaker?
If so, then you are at the right place here
and for you a device is designed
which fits mechanical mods with the inside diameter of the tube around 19 mm – I Kick.
I Kick enables to adjust the final output on mechanical mods.
The output adjustment is possible in the interval from 5W to 12W, according to the producer.
I did some measures and counting by my own
and if you use a really good battery you can really reach those 12W.
However, I will use 18350 battery and on the ordinary one I reached some 8W.
The producer recommends use of IMR batteries.
So, here is our I Kick,
you can adjust the final output by turning the little screw here.
It is easy, you just need to remember end positions…
There are also little marks on the blue box
so it is possible kind of read the volume by these marks.
It is all about trying and remembering the right positions.
To make your I Kick work
you need such a size of your mod which is good enough to put your I Kick inside.
Also the mod size must be suitable to make the I Kick´s minus pole on this flexible stick work
because this secures the energy for its electronics.
So the size of I Kick as well as the mod tube are really essential.
I will put my I Kick into Corolla which has the inside diameter of the tube almost 19 mm.
So, this is exactly the size which we need for our I Kick.
The base itself has 18,17 mm.
If I measure the size with the minus pole contact then it makes 19,38 mm.
Then we need some pressure to have a good contact.
So, I think the recommended inside diameter of the mod´s tube should be maximum 19,2 mm
so that we have the right space for the flexible contact.
If I press the flexible contact as far as possible, I can measure 18,5 mm here.
So, the minimum… but really minimum inside diameter of the mod tube is 18,7 mm
but the best really is to have the tube with the inside diameter 19 mm.
The bottom base is a bit narrower
so it will not disturb us in any way, it is 18,15 mm,
but the upper end diameter is really crucial.
The length of I Kick is 16,95 mm so you should have 17 mm available inside your mod.
It means, if you have a mod working with 18650 battery,
you cannot use this I Kick,
but you can use it – under some conditions – with 18490, 18500 batteries.
And if you have a telescopic Corolla like me,
then you can use either 18500 batteries or 18350, which I will do today.
Also, I Kick has a protection against the low battery.
Under some 3,3 V you cannot vape anymore because I Kick switches off.
These are the basic facts regarding I Kick functionality.
If I turn this little screw clockwise, I increase the final output and vice versa.
When you put I Kick in your mod it is good to press the flexible contact down first,
put inside and put the battery in as well.
The battery must have its plus contact on the I Kick.
Now, I just close my Corolla…
Here we can see the space added to Corolla by I Kick.
I just repeat one more time: before you buy your I Kick be very careful about the sizes.
There are of course mods where it is easier to get your I Kick out of them,
here I need to shake it out like this… But it is also just fine.
So, this is a microprocessor controlled device for a final output adjustment on our mechanical mods.
One more thing – should you think about I Kick´s weight, it is 5 g, close to nothing.
I have my Vision Eternity ready here, which I can vape easily on 10 W
and I would like to see what I Kick will do about it.
I will set the maximum output because I will use an ordinary 18350 battery.
Inside the tube, battery with the plus contact on the I Kick,
of course the I Kick must be always put with its adjustment screw facing the end,
screw in…
And let´s make this “hungry” Eternity vape…
No problem… I Kick can handle my Eternity just fine…
Well… this is the use of I Kick, working with it is really simple…
So, bye bye from me now and see you again at some of my videos.
I-Kick is a handy tool designed for mechanical mods users.
It enables you to adjust the final output of your mod.
