Well, I think that the people...are the reason
that the organization runs so well.
The unique connection that they have with the institution,
and the other people that they work with
I think this is a really special place
for all of us to work in. -I think what's really unique about
the organization is the people. The people are just fantasic.
Friendly, out-going, professional,
concerned. [ Pause ] You know, it just comes down to people
-Within CPFM, there is a sense of familyand
you don't always get along with your brothers, your sisters and your cousins,
but you're all kind of part of the same group, serving the same
mission. In this case, you're serving the University.
I think we have a great organization in PMCS and CPFM as a whole.
We've got a lot of people, who have been here for
quite a period of time. They know the campus, when they hear about a problem,
they know how to address it, they know how to fix it, they know how to go out there
and talk to the clients. And build a level of confidence among the clients.
They know how to solve their problems. -Honestly, I love working
with the people here at UT. They are the best
people I have work with. So, [ pause ]
we work hard, we try hard, and...
it's amazing what they can do, with what they have.
So, that is really kind of, like... it amazes me everyday.
The thing I am so very proud of is
the level of accomplishment that they have. There has
been absolutely no challenge that we've come across,
that my people have not been able to solve. I'm there to
help them and support them, but they do the work. And so that is the part
that I enjoy the most about working here in Utilities Energy Management
and CPFM. -There's a very solid
understanding of the mission of the University
and how TRecs supports that. We see
deep commitment. We see people who are willing to work long hours, when they're
asked to. -They're also able to find the interesting parts of the job,
and to [ pause ]... keep things fun.
So when time's are tough, the group is able to pull together
get things done, [ pause ] and
still kind of, bring a... some kind of light-heartedness to
the work.
I think what binds us, I feel like we're the group that keeps
the University functioning. We're the behind scenes
people. And, you know, often it goes unappreciated, but
we ourselves feel that we have a lot to contribute
to making this Unversity function.
And to provide the services that the
students and faculties need to perform their duties.
They way we're set up, people come to own
and become familair with a certain part of campus. They know how it works
better than, than anybody else does.
Certainly better than the faculty and students who are in that corner of campus.
And watching them do what they do, or listening
to their ideas for how they could be supported, and
doing their jobs better, or more efficiently, or more environmentally sound.
That has a special value that may be
unique to UT Austin.

[ Music ] -Well, I really love this job
because they take care of us really well
and appreciative of what we do. I really like my team because
everybody cooperates with each other. We take care of each other.

[ Music ] -Yes, I love it.
It's a great feeling to know that you're not just being successful
at your own job, but you're helping other people be successful at their jobs.

[ Music ] - Well, the importance
to the job, for me, is to satisfy the clients on the
main campus, you know. Doing good on the job that we do,
our trades, I think uh [ pause ] I think that's very important
is keeping the clients satisfied. You know.

[ Music ] - You know, our staff is our biggest assets, right?
They are our most important asset, if you will. They add more
value than any other machine, in my opinion.

[ Music ] - I think we're doing an amazing job of
supporting our University clients. We take on
some very, very challenging work, to support
our University, and I know that the University
and the clients that we serve, very much appreciate the energy
and the talent, and passion that you place into
your work, day to day and year to year here at the University.
[ Music ] - I feel privileged to work with great staff
and enjoy working with them. It's very rewarding to see the accomplishment
of our team, and the pride that they take in their work.
I'm consistantly amazed at the innovation ideas that they come up with
for us to improve. And I know that my staff will set
the bar higher, and strive to improve in all
that they do. [ Music ]
Thank you for doing what you do everyday, the great job
and contributions and the sacrifices that you make
to make this a great organization and a great place to work.
And uh...[ pause ] I'm just humbled that I'm
able to be here and be part of that experience.
[ Music ] - We are critical, and we try
to point that out to our staff, that they do make a difference everyday
when they're here. And it's SO important. They are valuable.
They are our most important asset, because we just couldn't make it
without them. Thanks everybody, for doing a terrific job and working together.
Because we couldn't make it without you. Absolutely not.
