Hey everyone it’s Barbara with chase the star
and I’m working on a back to school project.
I picked up some stuff at Michael’s. I thought I’d share with you what I picked
up and what I planned to do with it for my back to school project.
So kids come home with a lot of papers that need to be filed or some of them tossed.
Or some of them saved for later. That need signatures or what have you.
So what I decided to do was to basically make a cute clipboard.
One for each child to be able to hold the papers together and make sure I don’t lose
them.
I’m planning on decopaging some of this really cute craft paper I found at Michael’s.
Either this alphabet print or the chevron arrows you see there I’m not sure which
one I’m going to use but thats going to be a tough decision.
I’m going to decoupage them on the surface of the clipboards with some Mod Podge
also picked up at Michael’s. Using these applicators.
Well, just one of them.
Going to be putting that on there and then using my cricut explorer to be able to with
the matt and new vinyl that I picked up as well
to be able to put each child’s name right across here in vinyl.
So I will know what papers belong to who.
I want to use this craft tape to decorate or embellish some trim around the paper but
also to get these to hang together.
I’m going to use this basically hole back here that is here on the clipboard.
And use a command hook, which is one of these.
So it can hang from here with either this chevron ribbon on burlap.
I really like it because it’s orange and it’s very fall like and I can of course
change it as the seasons go or some of this twine that I picked up also at Michael’s.
I’m not sure what I’m going to do.
But that is basically my plan so that I can have them one over the other.
And I can easily head to my little command organization station and know exactly
where the papers are that need to get back to school and who they belong to
and basically keep myself organized for back to school.
So be sure to head to chasethestar.net check out what the final product looks like.
See you there! Bye!
