One of the most comman things we hear from people after they have come to the ministry
is how hard it is to make that first step. Coming to a new place and not knowing anyone
can be challenging. So I thought we might give you a little tour to know what to expect.
Since we are in the old market you first need to find a parking spot, which usually isn’t
too *** a Tuesday night. Then, come on downstairs to Great Adventures where we have
over 6,000 square feet of amazing space.
The first thing you will come across is our greeters table, and for a new person, these
guys and gals are a life saver. They can give you a tour, a name tag, a study book and even
a bible if you don’t have one.
If you come early, there is always someone playing pool or foosball, or just hanging
out at our coffee bar. That’s right we have a fully operational coffee bar open each night
and your first drink is on us.
At 6:30 we all sit down for a dinner that one of our groups makes. Just come and eat
and you’ll find it a great time to get to know others.
After dinner, our worship team is set up to lead us in music, and then there are the announcements
about all the amazing things going on in our week. From Rafting trips, to Ski Trips, to
just ol fashion BBq’s, there is always something going on.
After worship, and sometimes a brief message, you will be off to join one of our small groups,
which each have their own small living rooms! No worries, we’ll find you a group and get
you connected to your groups leaders long before that point.
Trust us, you will find out that GAMe isn’t just fun and games, and though it’s a place
people do connect with others, the focus is always around making a difference for the
kingdom. From missions, to service projects, there is no doubt that there is a need for
such a place as Great Adventure Ministries. With over 57,000 college students within a
few miles, and the drastic dropping out of those 18 to 35 from the local church, almost
80%, GAMe might just be an answer to more then just your needs, it might just be the
answer our over 50 church partners need to keep the next generation in the GAMe!
